The firm started its practice as Azhar Rouse
& Hisham Sdn and was incorporated in 1988
as a corporate body Quantity Surveying
professional practice registered with the
Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia. ARH
Jurukur Bahan Sdn Bhd is also registered
with the Ministry of Finance to provide
quantity surveying consultancy services to
all Government projects.
The founder directors of the firm are Encik Ahmad Azhar Rouse and Dato’ Hisham Hj Jafrey. In July 1995, after the firm had successfully established itself, Encik Bahrudin Hj Rahmat and Encik Azlee Hj Abdullah were appointed to the Board of Directors. In December 2001, Azhar Rouse & Hisham Sdn was converted to a Private Limited Company and changed its name to ARH Jurukur Bahan Sdn Bhd.
This change in the organization was a major step forward that demonstrated the firm’s aspiration and development from traditional professional partnership practice into a leading major consultancy business.
In line with the progression of the firm and growing numbers of staff employed, Encik Noor Masyri Mohd Shaari was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2009. In 2016, Encik Shahrul Azlan Abd Ghani and Puan Zunita Che Omar were appointed to the Board of Directors.
In July 2019, Encik Baharudin Hj Rahmat ceased his duty as the Director of ARH Jurukur Bahan Sdn Bhd upon reaching his retirement age. En Nasafian Mohd Sharif was then appointed to the Board of Directors in April 2021, nevertheless, En Nasafian left the company in November 2022 for career advancement.
The firm was first awarded the prestigious ISO 9001-2000 certification by Certification International (UK) Limited in 2003. After 6 years, the firm managed to reaffirm its commitment and subsequently received the ISO 9001-2008 certification from the same certification body. Given its earnest commitment to its effort, ARH Jurukur Bahan Sdn Bhd was then accredited with the latest ISO 9001- 2015 certification from BAB, UK certification body.
These recognitions are in line with ARH Jurukur Bahan Sdn Bhd’s philosophy in continuously striving to improve and excel at all times. To ensure continuing best practices and maintain a high standard of professionalism of its personnel, participation in external courses and regular in-house training programs are organized and conducted at all levels from time to time.
